Hello Pat. 24 years ago, you contacted me with an interest in my working with you on World War Three, and as I was now based in Brooklyn, I recommended Alan Mitchell. We chatted for over an hour on the phone (I was a fan of yours from way back and still am) and when I told you of an incident of mine, you suggested I contact Steve McManus about doing it as a story for Crisis, which I did. To get to the point, thank you for pretty much starting my career in comics.
21 years of marriage and 3 kids later, I’m not really in the industry any more, but I still freelance and am an Associate Professor at the Pratt Institute here in New York.
Again, thanks for the career, thanks for decades of amazing work, and if you’re ever in New York, I’d love to take you to lunch/dinner and just talk.
All the best,
Floyd Hughes
Hey, I remember you well, Floyd. Thank you , you are too kind.
It sounds like you made all the right moves in your career – congratulations! Pratt Institute sounds a really impressive organisation – it must be inspiring for you and you must be inspiring for them.
I do sometimes do get to NY, so when I do I’ll be sure to get in touch
