The British False Memory Society seems to be no more.
As you may know from my past posts, myself and other Survivors were negatively affected by wrong claims of ‘False Memory’ . False Memory has also been used as a defence by defendants such as Harvey Weinstein and Ghislaine Maxwell.
It was made worse because numerous cases of recovered memory being provably correct in a court of law – notably in the famous Frank Fitzpatrick vs Father James Porter case in the USA – have never been reported in the British press.
So although the BFMS, like its US equivalent, now seems to be defunct, British officialdom still seems to be in favour of its thesis, even though it has been proven to have no scientific foundation – despite the claims of the BFMS to the contrary.
